If you live in the north country in January, you have no choice but to call on your winter skills.
Which of the many tasks and activities that are unique to winter do you approach with confidence?
Notice that you don’t have to enjoy a task or activity that you do well.
After drawing a line across the top of the page to reserve space for a title, draw some kind of shape in the center of the writing space. Then draw a few lines or curves that radiate from it and divide the space into sections.
In each sections describe a winter skill that you have. For each one, begin with the words, “Winter, and I am good at … “
In one or more of the sections, you can skip the writing and draw or doodle. When all the sections are filled, reread your work, change it if you like, and give the page a title. Write the date on it, too.
