Tell what you picked up. Say where it was. Tell where you put it down.
You can include times when you engaged a person, a machine, or a tool to help with the picking up and putting down.
Are there things that you can pick up and put down that aren’t physical objects? You can pick up a bad case of the flu or an ear-worm tune, for instance, but these are not things that you can put back down.
Do the exercise a second time by going somewhere where you can observe people. What do they pick up and put down?
