There are getting to be more warm days than cold ones. The nights are short. The summer season stretches out in front of us.
Today write about the summer ahead: hopes or plans, clothes and shoes, tools and accessories, people and activities. What’s coming up? What have you forgotten about summer until now?
Before you begin writing, set up your page. Mark off some space for illustration. In addition, at the very bottom, draw a rectangle as wide as the page and about an inch high. Leave it blank until you have finished with the rest of the page.
Once the page is full, direct your attention to the empty rectangle. That space is reserved for the unexpected. Decorate around the edges. That’s about as ready for the unexpected as you can get.
