Write down a word or phrase in the center of your page. Draw a heart around it.
Draw a spiral that radiates outward from the heart. You are going to be writing on the lines of the spiral, so as the spiral grows, keep the lines at a distance from one another that will be good for writing on.
Beginning with the word or phrase inside the heart, write one long sentence on the spiral line that you drew. You will probably have to turn your page round and round. The sentence doesn’t have to be grammatical or normal, it just has to go on and on.
Use connector words like however, because, although, nevertheless, without, until. They will help you keep your sentence going. Don’t stop to reread your sentence until you have written to the very end of the line.
Give your work a title. Write your initials and the date on it, too.
