It’s fashionable these days to berate yourself for having too much stuff. Here in the season of giving thanks, write about why you like your stuff. What do the the inanimate objects that populate your life do for you?
Look around you–or deep into the bottom of your closet–and celebrate your attachments. You have the things you have because you like them for some reason.
Chose an object and write about why you’re glad it’s yours. Does it hold memories that are dear? Do you like the way it looks? Is is useful?
Fill a page with descriptions of one or more objects that you are grateful to own.
Give your work a title and write the date on it, too.
