Take yourself on a field trip to the library. Go for a wander. Commit to finding something unexpected.
Go down an aisle that you wouldn’t ordinarily frequent. Pluck a book or two just to see what could be in it. Or lug an oversize book to a table and slowly turn the pages to enjoy the stunning photographs.
The library also has plenty of interesting things that are not books. Take a look at some of them, too.
Ask a librarian. Librarians are trained to help people find answers to any question. Tell a librarian what you are interested in. A librarian will tell you where to look to find out more.
Go to the library. Turn on your powers of observation. Step out of the weather and into a different world.
Then write about it.
Be sure to give your work a title. Write the date on it as well.
