Invent an imaginary character so you can make up a story about them.
Imagine your character having one bad thing after another happen to them.
As you write this string of large or small disasters, begin each sentence with a phrase that escalates your character’s difficulties. Use phrases like, on top of that, if that wasn’t enough, to make matters worse, etc.
Keep writing until there are about two inches left on the page. Imagine one final event for your character. Make it positive. End on a hopeful note.
When you have finished, write a title at the top of the page. Put the date on the page somewhere, too. Add color or illustration if you like.
