Cast your eyes slowly on the world around you, indoors and through a window, perhaps. Try to disengage your mind from the names and edges of things and only notice the colors. Notice how “one color” is really a blended combination of many colors.
Choose a single, specific color that you see. Take note of it. Then start your eyes moving again and find that same color in an entirely different place.
Write about that process: the colors and how you found them, the objects connected to each other by sharing a color, and any other details you decide to toss in.
If there’s room on the page, do it again. And again.
Give your work a title, sign it, and write the date on it.
