It can be a big story or a little one. A story full of drama and excitement, or one that is kind of boring.
The story can take place in the past, the present, or the future. It can center on a place, a person, or an event.
Before you start to write, put a dot in the middle of the page. As you write, when you reach the dot, pause and reread what you have written so far.
Notice how much of the story is left to tell and how much space is left on the page. Stretch or shrink your story so the last word will land in the very last space on the page.
Illustrate your work if you like. Give it a title. Sign and date it, too.
