Everybody’s got to be somewhere. So does everything. Everything that happens, happens somewhere.
Begin writing with the words, “I know where…” and see what pops into your mind next. Maybe it will be an object, a plant, a pet or a person. Maybe it will be an event.
Whatever it is that has floated to the surface, tell as much about it as you like, but withhold all the details of the location you are thinking of.
Maybe you will write about just one thing, maybe you will write about many. The important thing is to announce that you are thinking of a specific location, but you aren’t telling where it is.
After you have filled a page, read over your work and give it a title.
Write the date on your work, too. Illustrate it if you like, and include a signature or your initials.
