You certainly know by now that there’s a virus going around. The fact that it is almost everywhere is also the fact that it is not everywhere.
Today in your writing, expand the space in your mind that is unrelated to this pandemic that we are in.
Choose a memory from 10 months or 10 years ago. Make a list. Observe colors. Order your thoughts with the alphabet. Just don’t write about the thing that seems to be on everyone’s mind.
Of course, all thoughts can lead to virus-thoughts. Money thoughts. Health thoughts. Political thoughts. Thoughts about why you might be worried, angry, scared or even relieved. Don’t write down any of those thoughts.
Use your pen to show your mind that your personal universe is much larger than this bad situation. Remember that an atom is comprised mostly of empty space.
Oh yes, and take care of yourself.
After you have filled a page, give your work a title and write the date on it.
