Older and Younger by 10

June 17, 2019 By Nancy Casey

Set up your page before you begin writing. Draw a line at the top where the title will go. Then draw a line that somehow divides the remainder of the page in half. If you draw a bubble somewhere in that line, you will have space for illustration or doodling.

Write the word “Older” somewhere on one half of the page.  On the other half, write the word “Younger.”

Who is 10 years older than you? What is 10 years older than you? Write about that on the “older” half of the page.  Think about people and other living things. Think about objects and ideas.

For the other half of the page, think about what’s 10 years younger than you.  People and things. Animals, vegetables, and minerals.

Maybe you will fill up one side of the page and then the other.  Perhaps you will switch back and forth.  You might write about one thing in great detail.  Maybe you will write about many different things. If you have set aside space for an illustration, you can draw or doodle in it while you think up what to write.

However your page turns out, write a title at the top when you have finished. Write the date somewhere on the page as well.
